Why small websites should be fast by default
Most of our clients do not need a complex platform. They need a site that opens instantly, reads well on a phone and can be updated without calling anyone.
We build with plain HTML and a small amount of CSS wherever we can. There is no framework to update, no database to secure and very little to go wrong. Pages are compressed, images are sized correctly and nothing loads from third parties unless it earns its place.
The result is a site that scores well without any tricks, costs almost nothing to host and keeps working for years. When a client does need something dynamic, such as a booking form, we add exactly that and nothing more.
